hi, there is some lifting involved, but usually you can get help. we take pictures( xray images), label the films correctly, talk to patient and find out their symptoms (why we are taking the x ray)so the radiologist can interpet the films. we do live fluoroscopy which is like a video, live moving x-ray. fluoro would be used in surgery. or in the xray department to look at patient esophagus,stomache, or bowels....most techs cross train into computed tomography(c.t)(cat scan)...and some cross train into ultrasound,mri,nuclear medicine, and mammography.its not a bad field to get into, and the more you are willing educate yourself, the more pay you can make, hope this helps, Melida
