I am from Los Angeles , CA and I'm having a hard time looking for schools that will offer either an Associates or Bachelors in radiation therapy.. Any help will be appreciated =) I just want to be pointed in the right direction...

does it help to get a job as a rad tech if you have a Bacholors in Biology, meaning does it help in your resume, and what if you know more than just english, does that help as well?

A Radiographer (a Radiologic Technologist) is a professional who is thoroughly trained in patient care, anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation protection. A CT Technologist is a Radiographer who has additional training in cross-sectional anatomy, physics, IV procedures, etc to perform specific procedures. An MRI Technologist is a professional who is thoroughly trained in patient care, imaging procedures, data acquisition and processing and the physics of image formation. (This information is taken from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) website).

Having an undergraduate degree will not be particularly helpful in obtaining a position as a Radiographer. However, after having worked in the field for a few years, a degree is required when the RT wishes to shift gears - move into management, education or applications.

Good luck.
